About Hypnotherapy
Hypnotherapy is a therapeutic approach that utilizes hypnosis to induce a state of deep relaxation and focused concentration in patients13. This altered state of consciousness allows individuals to become more open to suggestions, facilitating changes in thoughts, feelings, and behaviors3. Hypnotherapy works by communicating with the subconscious mind, which is responsible for many of our thought processes and behaviors1.
About Neurolinguistic Programming (NLP)
Neurolinguistic Programming, developed in the 1970s, is a complementary approach that examines how our thoughts affect our behavior2. At Hypno4Life, we incorporate NLP techniques into our practice to enhance communication with clients and help them communicate more effectively with themselves6. The combination of hypnotherapy and NLP can be particularly powerful in addressing various issues:
Anxiety and Stress: Both hypnotherapy and NLP techniques can help reduce anxiety levels and manage stress-related conditions12.
Phobias: NLP and hypnotherapy are often used in treating phobias, with NLP focusing on changing thought patterns and hypnotherapy accessing the subconscious to rewrite fear responses24.
Habit Changes: Hypnotherapy can be effective in modifying unwanted habits by suggesting new patterns to the subconscious mind1.
Personal Development: NLP techniques are useful for building skills such as public speaking, sales, negotiation, and leadership2.

What happens during a hypnotherapy session:
A typical hypnotherapy session is a collaborative process in which we help you achieve your goals through focused relaxation and suggestion. It begins with a 10-15 minute consultation to discuss goals, medical history, and concerns. We will then guide you into a deep relaxation state using techniques like progressive relaxation, visualization, and focused breathing. In this state, we’ll use tailored techniques, such as direct suggestions and guided imagery, to address the your goals. The session concludes with a gentle awakening. Sessions typically last 45-50 minutes, with most people seeing results within 3-4 sessions. Throughout the process, you remain in control. As therapists, we act as a guide to access the subconscious mind for beneficial change.
Book your sessionHypnotherapy and its scientific status
While many practitioners and clients report positive outcomes from hypnotherapy and NLP, it's important to note that scientific evidence supporting their efficacy is limited, and some researchers consider NLP to be pseudoscientific8. We’ve shared a list of articles below, that give an overview of different viewpoints towards this practice. In some countries hypnotherapy is officially recognized and covered by health insurers for treating addictions or anxieties. While in others, it could be outlawed for treating medical conditions.
As with any therapeutic approach, you should do your own research which approach seems the most suitable. In case of any medical conditions, always consult your doctor first.
